Using the Loyal Customer Card will be easy. Simply show the card when making a purchase at a participating business to receive an award exclusive to cardholders. It could be an instant discount, a free item, a 2-for-1 or other special offer. For example, Focal Point Studio of Photography will offer 8 free wallet portraits with the purchase of a portrait package.
“Focal Point and all the participating businesses are excited and extremely grateful that the Farmington DDA is sponsoring this promotion. The cost of a direct mail piece to 22,000 homes is costly for one business to absorb,” said Michele Jakacki, who along with her husband Jerry, own Focal Point, a mainstay Downtown Farmington photography studio offering custom portraiture along with old-fashioned customer service for more than 38 years. “Not only will this program benefit local businesses, it will be great for customers too. Just by showing their Loyal Customer Card when making a purchase, they will be rewarded with an exclusive, worthwhile special.”

Mazzoni Jewelers, Majestic Designs, Merle Norman, Page's Food and Spirits, Ruby Blu Salon, Synergy Home Care, The Olive Grove, The Vines Flower Shop, Tranquil Touch Therapeutic Massage for Women, Tre Sorelle Boutique and Victorian Lace Elegance.
“Our list of participating businesses continues to grow,” boasted DDA Executive Director Annette Knowles. “We are hopeful that the greater Farmington community will embrace the card and the concept of shopping locally.”
The reward card is being rolled out by the Farmington DDA to introduce new customers to Downtown Farmington and to thank loyal customers for shopping, dining and doing business locally. Patty Williams, one of the three sisters and mom who own Tre Sorelle, a boutique offering unique jewelry, handbags and home décor including many one-of-a-kind imported items, considers use the card an opportunity for residents and downtown businesses to work together to support the local community.
“I realize we all have choices throughout the area as to where we shop, dine and do business. I’m hoping the card will remind people to check locally first. A viable Downtown Farmington business community in turn helps support stable residential property values, a win-win for all.” A healthy Downtown Farmington business climate is also more inviting to other new and exciting ventures looking for a great location.
