Congratulations to our “Winter Wonderland Windows” first place winner The Vines Flower & Garden Shop. The prize is an ad with a value of $500, in the Main Street Messenger, a newsletter mailed to 22,000 households in the Farmington/Farmington Hills area. “We were very excited to win first place. We decided to do something fun and whimsical this year”, said Michele Hinds, owner. Judges’ comments included – best job with a small space, thoughtful and well-balanced, best at evoking the holiday spirit and we agree! Don’t miss seeing this beautiful window during the holiday season.
Our second place winner is Salon Legato. This prize is a one-year membership in the Greater Farmington Area Chamber of Commerce with a value of $285. “We’re thrilled to win second place in the window contest. We never expected it. We love the holiday season and all the employees love to be involved,” said Diane Cassidy, owner. The judges said “out of the box, exceptional creativity, well-executed.” And we loved this window!
And third place winner is Eye Spy Eye Care. The prize is a business owner coffee hour, with refreshments, for a value of $100. Judges commented that this window best acknowledged the entire holiday spectrum, and would appeal to everyone who walks by. We found this window a delight!
Some honorable mentions included – John Cowley & Sons for the historic village atmosphere; Sarian Jewelry Gallery for the unusual lighted decorations; and Focal Point Studios for elegance and beauty.
“Come on over to visit our warm, decorative town and feast your eyes on the creativity of our businesses,” invited Annette Knowles.
