FARMINGTON, Mich., May 13, 2015. Mark your calendars so you don’t miss the 6th year of Art on the Grand in the middle of Downtown Farmington. Farmington is the historic downtown area, surrounded by the City of Farmington Hills, making this a unique urban fair with a small town charm. The Kids Hands-On Art sponsors for the art fair this year are Tom Holzer Ford, Renewal by Andersen, AT&T U-verse and SMART, with support from C&G Newspapers and Waste Management.

Over 100 artists and craftsmen from across the country will display their works in this juried fine arts fair presented by the Farmington Hills Special Services Department's Cultural Arts Division in partnership with the Farmington Downtown Development Authority. Various media will be represented, including paintings, sculpture, fiber, ceramics, glass, photography, and more.

A special feature this year is DIA Away: Think Like an Artist. It is a free, mobile interactive classroom and a creative exploration space for people of all ages to try out creative thinking skills at digital and hands-on stations.  DIA Away will be open in Kids Hands-On Art from 11am-5pm on both event days.
