The results are in! Six lucky individuals have been selected as the Wish List Window winners. After spending $100 at participating merchants in Downtown Farmington to complete a Wish List Window stamp card, Ben Cassell, Jasmine Hart, Sandy McArthur, Arlene McFadden, Therese Norris, and John Tryon, were randomly selected as this year’s winners. Each prize package was worth around $580.00.
After all the cards were collected, 492 completed cards were counted. Thanks to all of Downtown Farmington’s customers, over $49,000 was brought in this year; this amount surpasses the $22,000 spent in downtown last year. Considering the economic conditions in our area, the participation is greatly appreciated. Not only did many people get their holiday shopping done, but also helped promote an active downtown and create a Main Street atmosphere.
“The Wish List Window is an exciting program that we see growing each year. Our community is such a strong supporter of our merchants and we use this program to reward those loyal shoppers but also to gain new customers in Downtown Farmington,” stated Janet Bloom, Events Planner, Farmington Downtown Development Authority.
This year’s contest was a great success thanks to the 34 merchants who participated, also an increase from last year’s count of 21. A big thank you goes to the many customers that decided to spend local dollars in the downtown area. Based on the results from this year, it is clear that the Wish List Window will continue to be a tradition that will help promote our downtown and encourage individuals to explore what Farmington has to offer.
