The Farmington Memorial Day Parade has been a Farmington Area tradition since 1970, and continues to celebrate and honor our heroes almost a half-century later. The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. on Memorial Day, near the intersection of Grand River Avenue and Orchard Lake Road. Parade participants stage on Mooney Street (just west of Orchard Lake Road), and travel one mile west on Grand River into downtown Farmington. The parade ends at Oakland Avenue, where a memorial ceremony takes place at the Farmington War Memorial Monument in Memorial Park. The ceremony features local Honor and Color Guards, and high ranking officials from various branches of our military service.
