Do you know someone who's given their all to the community? The Mary Martin Service Award may be for them. Launched in 2005 by the Farmington DDA, the award is given annually to an active, registered committee member or volunteer who has exhibited outstanding service and dedication to Downtown Farmington.
History
Mary Martin was instrumental in reviving the Farmington Farmers & Artisans Market and in developing the Walter E. Sundquist Pavilion, its new home. The pavilion she helped to create started a new chapter in Farmington's history that her ideas and work embody.
The award is given to an active, registered committee member or volunteer, after a nomination process. The DDA Board of Directors makes the selection.
How to Nominate
Current DDA Board members, Committee members, and volunteers may nominate a volunteer by completing a nomination form, submitting details about the nominee's contributions and participation, including time contributed and longevity in the position.
The nomination form must be received in the Office of the Farmington DDA by January 15th. The recipient is recognized at an annual Volunteer Appreciation Celebration.
