Annette Knowles

Annette joined Farmington's Downtown Development Authority in October 2005.  The Farmington DDA performed an exhaustive search to find an individual that would be the perfect fit for this critical position - Annette fit the bill perfectly.  As she puts it, "I'm a Jill of all trades".

Before coming to Farmington, she was director of the Allen Park, Michigan Downtown Development Authority.  Along with her day-to-day responsibilities, Annette was instrumental in completing impactful streetscapes and consolidating parking - creating greater efficiency.  Other high-priority projects Annette completed were a trade area/market analysis and property renovation.

Always looking to better herself, she currently is in a Master's Program at Eastern Michigan University for Historic Preservation.  Annette received her BA at University of Michigan.

Annette, and her husband Mark, live in Farmington.  Their son attends college.

Janet Bloom

Janet graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s degree in both Advertising and Marketing.  These led her to work at Walt Disney World for a few years.  Then, her home state called her back.  Janet has been an Event Planner for 9 years  and previously was employed as the Marketing & Events Director at the Northville Chamber of Commerce.  She has three sons, Kyle, Brendan, and Cameron.
