Green & Gifts Market | Wish List Window


December 1, 2012

Get that warm, nostalgic feeling of old as you stroll through Downtown Farmington listening to carolers, sampling freshly baked cookies while sipping hot chocolate.  Visit the Greens & Gifts Market in the Sundquist Pavilion and find artisans and crafters selling wreaths and unique holiday gifts.

Bring family and friends to see the free Holiday Movies at the historic Farmington Civic Theater.

Join the tree-lighting celebration at the Warner Mansion.

There will be a visit from Santa and activities for all the kids to enjoy, as well as the Wish List Window.

Gift wrapping, entertainment, food and lots of holiday spirit will be aglow.

Tree of Wishes
Also at the Farmington North Pole, visit the Tree of Wishes.  Kids and parents alike are encouraged to bring a new pair of socks or mittens when they visit the “North Pole.”  Socks and mittens collected will be donated to a local charity.  Kids can also write their Christmas wish on an ornament and hang it on our Tress of Wishes.

Free Holiday Movies at the Farmington Civic Theatre- 33332 Grand River Avenue

On Christmas Eve, a doubting boy boards a magical train that's headed to the North Pole and Santa Claus's home.

Shrek the Halls (Rated TVPG; 21 minutes) Showtimes: 10:15am, 11:15am, 12:15pm, 1:15pm
Shrek wants a perfect Christmas for Fiona and the kids but, becomes so focused on doing things by the book, he fails to notice the magic and chaos unfolding all around him.

Get in the spirit of the season with two wonderful holiday movies! Movie-goers are encouraged to bring non-perishable food or new, unwrapped toys or a donation to the Farmington Area Goodfellows benefiting seniors and families in need.  50% of concessions will also go to the Goodfellows.

Farmington Area Jaycees Holiday Tree Lighting at 5:30pm
Enjoy caroling, a visit from Santa and light refreshments in the Carriage House.  Tour the decorated mansion with costumed docents for a $2 donation.

Throughout the weekend, see and hear carolers from local groups stroll the streets of Downtown Farmington- sure to get everyone in the yuletide spirit!  See the Salvation Army Band on Saturday, December 3.  They will be performing Noon - 3:00pm.
