The Beer and Wine Tasting is the premier opening of Harvest Moon! Discover and enjoy a limited selection of hand-picked craft beers and delectable fine wines and meads from the Great Lakes region and around the world, accompanied by tempting food pairings prepared by chefs from the Culinary Studies Institute at Oakland Community College. Sampling for enthusiasts and newbies. Artisan and educator Rex Halfpenny of the Michigan Beer Guide will stroll through the crowd and share his knowledge of craft brewing. Lee Hershey, wine instructor at Schoolcraft Community College for over thirty years, will share his expertise near the wine tasting tables.
