Music at the Market

The Downtown Farmington Farmers & Artisans Market is special to everyone for different reasons. Some people come just to hear some of the greatest local entertainers perform live.

Musicians appearing at the Farmington Farmers & Artisans Market are local gems that will put a smile on your face while you explore the sights, sounds and smells that will bring you back each week for flowers, baked goods, vegetables and one-of-a-kind arts & crafts.

You will tap your toes from 10 am - 2 pm.

Our musicians play free for your enjoyment. Don't hesitate to show your appreciation with a generous tip.

Music at the Market 2013 Line Up

	Bob Monteleone May 4, June 1, August 10 and October 5 Playing solo gives Bob the freedom to take off in any direction, any time. He's more likely to play more Neil Young, Radiohead and other personal favorites (as well as original songs). Listen to Bob
	Mark Reitenga May 11, July 13 and September 7 Mark Reitenga has been playing his unique brand of Folk Rock in Metro Detroit since 1988. From original compositions to selections from America to Van Morrison, Mark has entertained crowds at local restaurants, clubs, music festivals and private engagements. 	Larry Arbour May 18 and August 3 Larry Arbour has been entertaining in bars, restaurants and at a wide variety of special occasions and events since 1975 from Flat Rock to Clarkston. He grew up in the ‘60s, taught himself to play guitar at 13, and has never stopped. His music is from the heart – pure and simple!
	Dan Goree May 25, July 27 and September 14 Daniel Goree, from the Pacific Northwest, takes his listeners on a journey through American music. Dan plays lead guitar and has been around the world, bringing sounds and perspectives to his interpretation of American rock-n-roll, R & B, Motown and country. Listen to Dan
	Donna Lee Holman June 8 Donna has opened for Rascal Flatts, Kid Rock and many more major recording artists. She has appeared on FoxTV2 News, The Mitch Albom Show, The Pam Rossi Show and many notable radio stations such as WCSX in Detroit. She sings a variety of easy listening favorites from artists such as Norah Jones, Etta James, James Taylor along with her own original songs off of her latest CD "Cool Water". 	The Two Timers June 15, August 24 and October 12 Lenny Earls, Lead Vocalist/Guitarist, is a second generation performing/recording artist with 20 years experience. Lenny gained his love of music from his father Jack Earls, an original Sun Records recording artist and Rockabilly legend. Rob Renirie, Lead Guitarist, has been a professional musician for over 40 years. Rob will captivate you with his acoustic guitar finger styles. When not performing live, Rob spends time in the classroom teaching guitar full time to students of all ages and levels. If you like listening to acoustic rock and country, The Two Timers have just the right music for you!
	The Potter's Field June 22 and August 31 Rochelle Clark from Chelsea, Michigan and John Natiw from Canton, Michigan are The Potter's Field, a Midwest based Folk/Americana/Roots duo. Known for poetic, gritty lyrics, driving instrumental style (including acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin, harmonica, typical and non-typical percussion elements and the occasional kazoo), close and powerful vocal harmonies and easy stage presence, The Potter's Field surprises with new songs and ideas that sound familiar yet nostalgic Listen to The Potter's Field
	Robin Horlock June 29 and October 26 Robin’s inherent love of music translates effortlessly every time he steps on stage. He is a true story teller, composing lyrics that are honest and relatable and weaving together melodies and hooks that create a genre of music that transcends generations. 	Steve Taylor July 6 and September 28 Steve is a graduate of Boston's prestigious Berklee College of Music and a veteran of local music scene. He performs all over the Metro Detroit area as a solo acoustic artist, bringing his blend of soulful original material and songs by his favorite artists to more intimate settings. 	Sinjon Smith August 17 and October 19 Sinjon Smith plays your favorite rock, pop, country and classic radio hits and are guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Got a request? We know hundreds of songs and even love to take a stab at the ones we don't. The acoustic show features vocalists Diane Smith and guitarist Chris Wietzke along with the amazing lead guitar of Marc Davis. Stop by and enjoy the music of Sinjon Smith! Listen to Sinjon Smith
	Paul J. Miles September 21 Paul J. Miles, a multi-talented singer songwriter and musician (plays guitar, piano, bantar, and more!) has decided to go back to the basis of American Popular music "The Blues" and use this as venue to share his love of music and spread his message of Peace to the masses. He had influences of James Brown, Jimi Hendrix and Richie Havens but decided to go back a little further to artists like Lightning Hopkins, B.B. King, Mississippi John Hurt, Furry Lewis for some inspiration. He has self produced 10 albums of original blues music over the past 15 years. Extended stays in Louisiana put him in tune with the Delta sound. He has played international in the countries of Germany, France and extended stay in Switzerland where he played the Lucerne Blues Festival from 1996-2001. Listen to Paul J. Miles
