The Downtown Farmington Scarecrow Building Contest is a growing tradition bringing the buzz of life and new personalities to our downtown.  Create your own and enter the contest or just enjoy others' unique creations.  The Scarecrow Stroll is one of the fun things to do during October and is bound to bring the warmth of autumn days to your heart.

Get your friends and family together and make the best scarecrow in town.  You can be a winner during the 4th annual Scarecrow Building Contest.

August 30

Scarecrow 101 Class - learn how to make a scarecrow

October 2-3

Scarecrow drop-off at the Sundquist Pavilion

October 18

Judging with prizes awarded at the Farmers Market - Noon

A panel of judges will select winners in three prize categories at Noon on Saturday, October 18 during the Farmington Farmers & Artisans Market.  The top prize is $350 in Downtown Farmington gift certificates to be used like cash at participating Downtown Farmington merchants.  Prizes valued at over $1000 will be awarded in all categories.

Scarecrow Stroll
October 6-17

Oct. 6-17, stroll the downtown to vote for find your favorite scarecrow. 

Residents and visitors alike can cast their vote at participating stores/merchants until Oct. 17th.
