This week, underground work such as water main and sewer installation continues. The underground work should take another week to 10 days. While not visible once the project is complete, this underground work is very important to the project.
Activity at the Groves retail center will start soon as well. First on the plate is creating a new interior wall for dressbarn, so that the corner of the building can be removed, in addition to the planned remodel of the store.
Grove Street is closed to traffic. Watch for posted detour routes. To access the Grove Street businesses, you have three easy options to find parking nearby: park at Zamzam Market, enter the parking lot through the entry by Starbucks, or enter from Orchard Street, east of Farmington Road. Please have patience while the work is on-going!
Handicapped patrons to businesses in the Groves may park in the parking lot closest to Zamzam Market and enter through the rear service door.
FREE valet parking at the Groves retail center has been arranged for Friday evenings, 4-9pm, and Saturdays, 9am-3pm. Valet parking is open to any visitor to Downtown Farmington.
Please continue to patronize our terrific Downtown Farmington businesses while improvement work proceeds.
